The ReminderCall.com PT Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students pursuing an education in physical therapy. In the fall of 2019, the ReminderCall.com Physical Therapy Scholarship will award five $1,000 scholarships to deserving physical therapy students who exhibit academic excellence and a strong sense of personal commitment to continuing their education.
“ReminderCall.com has been providing patient reminders to physical therapists since 1998. Over the years we’ve come to realize that the physical therapy field is often overlooked by scholarship grantors,” said Chantal Halmos, President. “We’re excited to help aspiring PTs fund their education. It’s our way of thanking the physical therapy community for welcoming us with open arms.”
Reminder Services has partnered with International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS), an independent scholarship management company, who will host the online application process, select recipients and disburse awards for the program.

Why Study Physical Therapy?
More than 20% of physical therapists own, or are partners in, a physical therapy practice. Demand for services continues to grow, so a career in physical therapy can offer job security as well as the opportunity to be an entrepreneur. That said, PTs work in a variety of industries, from hospitals to sports and fitness facilities all across the United States. An education in Physical Therapy presents diverse opportunities and a flexible career path. It’s a great choice for students who enjoy helping others and making a difference in patients’ lives. Here’s an inspiring quote from APTA’s Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, 2nd edition:
“Physical Therapy is a dynamic profession with an established theoretical base and widespread clinical applications in the preservation, development, and restoration of optimal physical function. Every day, physical therapists in the United States help approximately 1 million people alleviate pain; prevent the onset and progression of impairment, functional limitation, disability, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes; and restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and optimum quality of life as related to movement and health.
As essential participants in the healthcare delivery system, physical therapists assume leadership roles in rehabilitation services, prevention, and health maintenance programs, and professional and community or4ganizations. They also play important roles in developing healthcare policy and appropriate standards for the various elements of physical therapist practice to ensure availability, accessibility, and excellence in the delivery of physical therapy services.”
